Alex Scott interested in new challenge amid Leeds United interest

Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott is seeking a new challenge in the summer amid reported interest from Leeds United.

Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also keen to sign the midfielder [The Mirror] who has featured 36 times for the Championship outfit.

Former Eurosport journalist Dean Jones has suggested that the 18-year-old is almost certain to leave the club, but where will he land up remains to be seen.

“I think it’s pretty clear that he’s too good to be hanging around that division, too much longer,” said Jones to Football League World.

“He’s interested in the next challenge and we’ll have to wait and see which club he feels is right for him, but they certainly face a fight to hold on to him at the moment.”

Talent

The youngster is seen as a highly-rated “exciting” talent after his impressive performances this season.

He has shown maturity beyond his years where he has emerged as an integral part of Nigel Pearson’s side this season.

The best part about his game is versatility. He has performed in multiple roles and has looked at ease in every responsibility he was given.

The versatile youngster is currently playing as a wing-back for the club. However, he was supposed to be operating as a creative midfielder or an attacking no 10.

He has scored goals and assists this term and has shown great desire to out defensive shifts.

The Mirror reported that Bristol rated him at £10m after his impressive breakthrough campaign.

Having said that, there’s always a gamble attached to signing a young prodigy. Will he be good enough to shine in the Premier League? He certainly has the talent, though.

Between Leeds and Spurs, he should have no doubts about picking his next club, as his chances of making the senior grade are more at Elland Road.

In other Leeds United news, Raphinha and Phillips have send messages to one of their exit-linked teammates.
