Alan Shearer gushes over 'World class' Kristoffer Klaesson after performance in Leeds United v Wolves
Alan Shearer has labelled Kristoffer Klaesson’s saves as ‘World class’ in the 3-2 Leeds United win over Wolves on Friday.
The Whites number two came on for Illan Meslier as he got injured during the game and was a concussion change for the visitors.
Klaesson rarely put a foot wrong and made some stellar stops to keep the Wolves attackers at bay.
Shearer named the young Norwegian in his Team of the Week and said, “Came on for his Premier League debut after Illan Meslier was taken off and made two world-class saves late on to help Leeds to a dramatic 3-2 win.”
Unbelievable
For those following the Leeds Under-23s, this one must have come as a huge shock.

Klaesson’s performances for them have been average, to say the least, and he has been highly inconsistent in goal.
However, for him to come in for Illan Meslier, with the pressure on his shoulders, was a huge deal.
He did not flinch even for a second and had the perfect game in goal.
While he did incredibly well, it’s hard to see him playing ahead of Meslier whenever the Frenchman is fit.
What he can keep doing is focus on these little chances he gets and also improve his performances for the junior sides.
There clearly is an extremely talented player in the works and hopefully, he unleashes his true potential at Elland Road.
