Alan Nixon responds when asked by Leeds United fan about transfer plans

Alan Nixon believes that Leeds United need to make some signings in January but might not because of Marcelo Bielsa.

The Sun journalist wrote on his Twitter account and offered his thoughts on the Whites and any potential January business.

The Argentine isn’t the biggest fan of making additions in January but with Leeds now in a relegation battle, you could argue that they need to sign someone, or it could be a long hard season.

Yes, they have had injuries, and things could and should improve when they have these players back, but an addition in January would be a big boost for the Whites.

The January window hasn’t really delivered for Leeds in the past, with the addition of Jean-Kevin Augustin in January 2020 proving to be a shambles that could cost the club a lot of money [Kicker].

Earlier this year, they didn’t make any senior additions, but they weren’t in any danger, really.

So now that the situation has changed could the Whites decide to try and improve the squad in January, despite Bielsa’s stance on that?

Well, they really might not have a choice.

The Whites have a tough run of games in December, and by the time the window opens, they could be in deep trouble, which wouldn’t be great.

Hopefully, the returning players like Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling propel Leeds up the table, but as it stands, they need to be willing to invest in January.

Otherwise, it will be a long and hard season for the Whites, and no one wants that.

So, could Nixon’s tweet spell danger for the Whites?

We will have to wait and see.
