Alan Nixon delivers update on Leeds United pursuit of Huddersfield Town star Lewis O’Brien
Leeds United are still interested in signing Lewis O’Brien despite comments from his agent, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon,
The 22-year-old’s representative, speaking to LUFCFANZONE, came out and dismissed any suggestion that O’Brien would be moving to Elland Road. When asked about the agent’s comments, Nixon replied that “there is” interest from the Whites in O’Brien.
However, Nixon claimed that O’Brien is not a “top choice” for the Whites but that it is “live” [Nixon’s personal Twitter account]. Nixon dismissed any suggestion that they have already had a bid rejected for the Huddersfield Town man [Nixon’s personal Twitter account].

Will Leeds sign O’Brien?
There seems to be a bit of confusion around if the Whites are actually interested in signing O’Brien or not with his agent adamant nothing is happening.
However, Nixon makes a good point in another tweet about the 22-year-old’s agent, claiming that his representative is hardly going to advertise the deal even if Leeds were interested [Nixon’s personal Twitter account].
O’Brien could be an excellent addition for the Whites as they are short in the centre of midfield, and given that he was rumoured to be worth £4million, he could arrive for a bargain fee [The Sun].

He has also played under Carlos Corberan, who was at Leeds before moving to the Terriers, so he might have picked up some tips from the Spaniard that will help him deal with Marcelo Bielsa and the Argentine’s training methods.
There certainly seems to be something going on in terms of the Whites making a move for O’Brien, and this could well be a transfer to keep a close eye on as the window progresses towards its conclusion.
