Alan Brazil tells Leeds to ‘be careful’ as fan shares his theory in Premier League relegation prediction
Alan Brazil still has his doubts about Leeds United’s chances of staying up this season.
Daniel Farke is leading the Whites’ charge for Premier League safety, and the last couple of months have been huge for his side.
The German head coach has changed his tactical ways at Elland Road, opting to go for a five-at-the-back formation which has brought joy and success.
Leeds currently sit 15th in the Premier League table with 12 games to go, as anything could happen from now until the end of the campaign.
Despite the feel-good factor in LS11, Brazil is under no illusion that Farke hasn’t finished the job yet for the Whites.

Alan Brazil shares ‘hope’ for Leeds survival but knows it’s not easy
Leeds have a difficult matchup against Aston Villa this weekend, one where the Whites really need to prove that they can indeed pick up results on the road.
Farke may have to shake up his tactics against an Unai Emery side who are particularly good at home.
- Aston Villa are third in terms of home form in the league
- They have only lost three times at Villa Park in the Premier League this campaign
- Leeds have only won once on their travels
While discussing with Leeds fan Darren live on talkSPORT this Thursday, Brazil shared his current concern about where the Whites sit in the table.
Brazil said: “Just one [point] ahead of Spurs and three ahead of [Nottingham] Forest, so Leeds, you’ve got to be careful, you really have. You need a couple of wins just to take the pressure off.”
Darren claimed: “That’s what we need, to make Elland Road a fortress, we’re doing so well this season, and I think we stay up this season.”
Brazil replied: “I hope they [Leeds] stay up.”
The Whites are aware of West Ham’s recent resurgence under Nuno Espirito Santo, too, and will be hoping that they can avoid a final-day scrap for survival to ease the nerves.
Here’s Leeds’ most winnable fixtures; it can keep them up
Elland Road is Leeds’ best shot at picking up results, and while fans will play their part in LS11, players also need to carry their own weight.
They’ll no doubt be up for the games, but when it comes down to it, will they show up? From what’s been seen so far, Farke has a squad who are fearless, which will instil confidence in everybody.
| Game | Date |
| Leeds vs Wolves | 18 April |
| Leeds vs Burnley | 2 May |
| Leeds vs Brightom | 17 May |
Historically, teams need over 40 points to avoid the drop, but there’s no set magic number for survival. However, if past data is to go off, then Leeds only need a couple more wins to achiever their ultimate goal.
The home games against Premier League relegation favourites Wolves and Burnley are emerging as two that should be a guaranteed three points, while the final home game of the season against Brighton also shapes up to be vital.
If the Whites could pick up nine points here, they may only need another win or two elsewhere to confirm their survival.
