Alan Brazil rages over Leeds headline news live on talkSPORT – ‘It’s a disgrace’
Leeds United will be a Premier League club again next season after winning promotion from the Championship this week.
Daniel Farke’s men, with two games left to play, have secured a top-two spot and will now be gunning for the title in a showdown with Burnley, who are currently second in the standings and level on points.
However, Leeds fans have been rocked by developments emerging out of Elland Road since their spot in the 2025/26 Premier League was confirmed.

49ers Enterprises consider sacking Leeds manager Farke
Leeds’ first task as a Premier League club could be to find a new manager after it was reported that 49ers Enterprises are considering sacking ex-Norwich boss Farke.
Paraag Marathe and co are said to have reservations about Farke’s record in the Premier League and are mulling over a change in leadership.
While the German has now won promotion from the Championship three times, he was relegated straight away in 20th place with Norwich in his first season in the top flight and then sacked in November in his second.
Gabby Agbonlahor admitted earlier this week that Leeds could sack Farke despite winning promotion.
And it seems that the ex-Aston Villa striker’s theory has some weight to it with the news that has since emerged.
Alan Brazil furious with Leeds headline news
Former Manchester United and Ipswich striker Alan Brazil can’t believe that Leeds would consider a change of manager after he sealed the Yorkshire club’s return to the Premier League with their 6-0 win over Stoke on Easter Monday.
However, Agbonlahor believes the bold move is backed up by Farke’s terrible Premier League record and how well it’s worked out elsewhere in recent history.
“Old Nostradamus here, ‘Daniel Farke’s off, Leeds should sack him’. That’s a disgrace. Leeds win promotion and you’re saying he should be sacked,” said Brazil on talkSPORT on Thursday morning (24 April).
Games | Wins | Draws | Losses | |
Norwich 19/20 | 38 | 5 | 6 | 27 |
Norwich 21/22 (Sacked in November) | 11 | 1 | 2 | 8 |
“It’s getting more and more headlines since I’ve said it,” Agbonlahor replied.
“I just think a club of Leeds’ stature, they were out of the Premier League for [16 years], got back in but were relegated. These owners might look at it and say, ‘nah, we’ve got to be ruthless’.
“We’ve seen Bournemouth do it with Gary O’Neil. They got rid of him and got [Andoni] Iraola and look at them now in the Premier League.
“I wouldn’t want to see it because it’s ruthless. But you never know with these owners.”
Farke, of course, failed to win promotion to the Premier League last season when Ipswich pipped the Whites to the top two before they then lost to Southampton in the play-off final at Wembley.
