Alan Brazil furious with ‘disrespectful’ Leeds response to Daniel Farke sack story

Alan Brazil wasn’t holding back with his anger towards Leeds United as Daniel Farke was linked with the sack at Elland Road.

The German head coach has guided the Whites back to the Premier League, doing so with a 6-0 win against Stoke City on Monday (21 April).

After Sheffield United fell to defeat at Burnley, promotion was confirmed, but that hasn’t stopped the 48-year-old’s job coming into question.

Brazil rages at Farke sack news at Leeds United

It is fair to say that there was plenty of frustration surrounding the former Norwich City boss when his side missed out on promotion last season.

After falling into the playoffs, losing to Southampton at Wembley was far from good enough, especially with how poor the Saints have been this season.

With that being said, the head coach has rebuilt his side and returned to have an excellent season, which has finally culminated in a divisional rise.

As a result, it has come as a shock that Farke could be sacked from his role at Elland Road in what is such a positive moment.

This hasn’t gone down well with certain circles, with reporter Alex Crook reaching out to Leeds for comment, which they failed to do.

This left Brazil raging live on talkSPORT (24 April, 08:55am) as he slammed the Yorkshire club for their ill-mannered response to the news.

He said: “I think they’re disrespectful not confirming, saying ‘Listen, we’re celebrating, we’re back in the promised land and we want to stay there and Daniel [Farke] will be our manager.’

“By saying nothing, sitting on the fence, I think that’s disrespectful.”

Leeds United can’t sack Farke yet

There is no doubt that the German has got the best out of his side this campaign, despite a slip-up of sorts in recent weeks.

With that being said, Farke has still managed to steer his side to promotion with a huge 6-0 win against Stoke City at Elland Road.

Joel Piroe made history as a place in the Premier League was secured, showing how much of a team spirit the former Schalke head coach has built.

This is likely to serve him well moving up a division, and as a result, moving him on could prove to be a mistake.

The 48-year-old may not be the glamorous name of a Jose Mourinho, but there is no chance he deserves a chance to shine.
