Alan Brazil delivers Leeds United promotion verdict after what Ray Parlour told him on talkSPORT
Alan Brazil has given his thoughts on Leeds United and their push for promotion in the Championship this season.
Leeds’ season hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts. In addition to falling to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup, they were also held to a 3-3 draw by Portsmouth in their Championship opener.
With the likes of Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Glen Kamara sold, and Georginio Rutter set to join Brighton.
Speaking on talkSPORT (16 August), Ray Parlour said: “Leeds have lost a lot of players”, with Brazil responding by saying: “Ooft, have they?”.
Parlour went on to note that they’re still favourites for the title, with Brazil making a pretty confident prediction by saying: “I can’t see that”.
Leeds United face doubters
There were always going to be doubters when it came to Leeds United this season. When you lose a handful of key players in the transfer window, there’s pressure – especially after losing in the play-off final just months prior.

The doubts will continue to pour in ahead of another tough clash against West Brom this weekend. For Daniel Farke, though, it seems to be a case of full steam ahead. He’s faced pressure as boss before and some are even calling for his head after a few bad results. However, instead of wilting away, he’s opting to push through the noise and confusion.
The bookies still believe Leeds will have a say in the title race. They have money, they have a talented squad, and they have room to breathe in the transfer market. There’s no one move they can make that is going to completely change their fortunes but in the final third, they have the ability to do damage to any team in this league. In the end, that may prove to be the difference maker.
In other Leeds United news, a shock Wilfried Gnonto transfer verdict has emerged at Elland Road.
