Leeds United transfer news: Agreement reached on exit for Diego Llorente amid recent development

An agreement has reportedly been reached as Leeds United defender Diego Llorente is set for an Elland Road exit in this summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio [20 June], Roma general manager Tiago Pinto has reached an agreement with Leeds to secure the services of the Spaniard on loan this summer after recent meetings.

Talks are still ongoing about whether or not a buy option will be included in the deal.

Surely not?

There have been talks over a transfer fee and now there’s suddenly word about Llorente leaving on loan and not a permanent basis.

Leeds surely will not benefit from this deal to let him leave on loan and it remains to be seen if there are any developments on this.

Fabrizio Romano recently tweeted that an agreement had been reached on personal terms and there was no mention of a loan there.

If Leeds do indeed agree on a loan then it will be a foolish decision as they desperately need the funds and can generate it from his sale.

Roma are eager to sign him and the Whites need to capitalise on it and act smart in the transfer window for a change.

Llorente is clearly way down the pecking order at Elland Road and it does not seem like he’s even interested in fighting his way back into the team.

In other Leeds United news, a BBC pundit has been left stunned as Phil Hay has dropped a fresh update on who the Whites are considering bringing in as manager this summer.
