Agent to arrive in Barcelona to sort out Leeds United exit deal for Raphinha

Deco, Raphinha’s agent, plans to arrive in Barcelona in the “coming hours” to get an update on the situation as he plans his take the forward away from Leeds United, according to Sport.

The Spanish newspaper reported on their website on 26 June that Raphinha will wait for an offer from Barcelona for at least a few days.

Arsenal have registered an interest and Raphinha and his agent are running out of time. They are not certain whether Barcelona will at all move for him.

Sense must prevail

Raphinha wants to leave Leeds this summer, and the club won’t stand in his way. They have set an asking price of £65million, and are not in a mood to relax their stance.

All we keep hearing is that Barcelona have earmarked Raphinha as their first-choice target, but there has been no intent from them to take him to Camp Nou.

The Catalan giants want to sell Ousmane Dembele, and if he leaves then only the Blaugrana can move for the Brazilian. When that will happen (if at all), no one knows!

In such a scenario, Barcelona are simply toying with Raphinha, whose agent keeps on making trips to Spain, only to find out that the situation hasn’t improved by an inch.

It is reaching a point where Leeds must give him an ultimatum. The worst part is that Raphinha and his agent are trying to convince Leeds to lower their asking price, something the Whites won’t agree to it.

Having already agreed to sell Kalvin Phillips, if Leeds are to offload Raphinha, it has to be on their terms and not the other way round.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have been told to sign a “like-for-like” replacement for Kalvin Phillips as Victor Orta opens talks with a target.
