Alex Levack, the agent of Ben White, has confirmed that Brighton will not be selling the defender to Leeds United this summer.

Reports had emerged that Graham Potter won't be selling any of his players to a Premier League rival, and Levack confirmed that.

The New Vision Sports Group representative also hinted that White will end up signing a new deal at the AMEX this summer, something that will put an end to speculation not only this season but in the future.

Levack was quizzed on White's future during the interview and definitively admitted that the move will not be happening when apologising to the Elland Road faithful.

"The latest is there's a lot of conversations happening," Levack told Sky Sports.

"Unfortunately for the Leeds fans, Ben's just not going to be coming to Leeds. Brighton have categorically said there's no way they're going to sell to Leeds so unfortunately, that's the case.

"There's conversations going on, Ben's away in Scotland with the Brighton team for pre-season getting himself fit, getting around the team. I would say watch this space over the next few days."

White was Bielsa's priority at Elland Road this summer, but even he has come to terms that Brighton's tactics have made it all-but-impossible.

Thankfully for him, that money has since been used to bring in Valencia forward Rodrigo, who is expected to join before the end of the week.

Robin Koch of Freiburg is expected to the defender that Leeds target instead, and he will be much cheaper than White was threatening to be.

Phil Hay has admitted that he expects Leeds to lodge a firm bid for the German international this week, with Bielsa wanting his players available for pre-season friendlies.

With White categorically chalked off the list, it's time to move on.
