Agent of Matheus Pereira contacts Leeds United, Whites set to reject chance to sign him - report
The agent of West Brom star Matheus Pereira has made contact with Leeds United, according to David Anderson.
It is suggested by the Mirror journalist that the Brazilian’s team are trying to secure a move to a Premier League side after his recent relegation.
Anderson has reported that the Whites aren’t expected to follow up on those conversations, with Pereira looking likely to move elsewhere.
Writing on his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon, Anderson shared the major update that may disappoint many Leeds fans.
“Just a line on Matheus Pereira,” he said.
“His agent is trying to find him a top-flight club following West Brom’s relegation and has spoken to Leeds, among other clubs. At present, Leeds are not following up on his offer to open transfer talks.”

Shame.
Pereira was sensational last season in his first time in the Premier League.
In a struggling West Brom side, he was one of the only players to actually catch the eye, and managed to hit double figures in goals.
TEAMtalk also reported over the weekend that it may only cost £15million to secure the move, which would be an absolute bargain given that Aston Villa just spent over £30million on Emi Buendia.
Surely Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa were tempted to go through with this deal, especially given our clear want to sign an attacking option that can play out wide.
At that price and his recent performances, there will be no better bargain deals than Pereira available this summer, we need to rethink this.
