Agent issues admission on Arne Slot Feyenoord exit amid Leeds United links

Dutch agent Guido Albers has claimed that Arne Slot is unlikely to abandon Feyenoord’s title challenge in order to join Leeds United.

Daily Mail journalist Simon Jones wrote on 9 February that an approach had been made for the Dutch manager but his contract is watertight.

Slot’s side currently sit at the top of the table and are also competing on different fronts this season.

He said on talkSPORT at 10:40 am on 10 February, “It’s absolutely no surprise [that Leeds are interested in taking him to Elland Road]. He’s been really successful here with Feyenoord.

“Personally, I think he will want to finish his job here – they’re going for the title. There’s a lot to do. But you never know in football. Every club is looking at young, talented coaches. 100% [I think he will stay at Feyenoord].”

Decide quickly

If Slot does not seem keen on leaving the Netherlands this season, Leeds should look at other options instead of him.

They cannot have interim managers continuing to be in charge as there are no guarantees that they’ll be able to get the right results.

Against Manchester United, they may have gotten the job done but they gave up a two-goal lead and the issues at the back continue to persist for them.

Leeds United

Slot would be a good manager and play the right brand of football at Elland Road, but it’s not going to be an easy job and he knows it.

He would also rather challenge for multiple trophies rather than battle relegation even though it may mean more money coming in every week.

Leeds surely will have other managers they could appoint and the time may have come to turn focus to them.
