Agbonlahor mocks Leeds with series of tweets in shock 3-0 defeat v Crawley

Gabriel Agbonlahor was active on Twitter on Sunday afternoon as Leeds United suffered a shock 3-0 defeat away at Crawley Town in the FA Cup third round.

Nicolas Tsaroulla, Ashley Nadesan and Jordan Tunnicliffe were all on target for the League Two club in the second half at Broadfield Stadium to secure their spot in the fourth round and deal one of Leeds’ worst cup defeats on them in their history.

Agbonlahor has regularly criticised Leeds and manager Marcelo Bielsa so there’s no surprise that he mocked the Yorkshire club with a series of Twitter posts on Sunday.

Even at half-time when the score was 0-0, the ex-Aston Villa player said: “What are the odds on a Crawley win? Quickly, I fancy a bet”

Let’s hope he didn’t put a bet on because as you can see by the tweets he posted after, he was very smug about what happened at Crawley.

He then posted an image of himself pointing to the scoreline on television.

You can have this one, Gabby

Whatever you think about Agbonlahor, there’s no arguing with this one.

We deserve to be mocked. We deserved to be absolutely slaughtered by pundits and rival fans. Bielsa and his players deserve every bit of criticism they get.

Bielsa’s team selection was a risk. He might as well have played a team of youngsters from the off if he wants to make those substitutions at half time.

Leeds were pretty comfortable in the first half and no one really expected them to crumble as badly as they did.

But Bielsa threw on Jack Jenkins and Oliver Casey at the break, taking off Liam Cooper and Pascal Struijk.

We’re not going to sit here and blame Jenkins and Casey. They were not very good but neither was anyone else. Even Kalvin Phillips had a shocker in that defence.

Bielsa got it wrong and the senior players failed to perform. Crawley took advantage of that and won.

Well done to them. We hope they can go far in the competition this season or bag themselves a big away day in the fourth round against another Premier League team.
