Adrian Durham picks Jack Harrison as top Premier League performer after Leeds win v Burnley
Adrian Durham has singled out Leeds United winger Jack Harrison as his top Premier League performer after the 4-0 demolition of Burnley.
The Manchester City loanee scored and claimed two assists at Turf Moor as he once again proved his worth under Marcelo Bielsa.
Durham went on to admit that it would be understandable if Gareth Southgate even handed Harrison a spot in the England side for the upcoming EUROs.
Speaking on talkSPORT Drive, Durham singled out the winger as one of his top performers in the entire Premier League this weekend.
“Jack Harrison in the 4-0 win over Burnley,” he said.
“This was a very intelligent, clever flick from Jack Harrison to turn it goalwards, knew he was onside, had a little check just in case.
“Terrific goal, but it was his creative skills more than finishing skills that had everybody admiring the talent, he’s been a consistent performer.
“Arguably Leeds’ best player this season.”
Standing out.
BT Sports’ live coverage of the clash on Saturday revealed that it will only be £11million to make Harrison’s loan move a permanent one this summer.
That would be an absolute bargain.
Harrison has been phenomenal this season and has more goal involvements than any English midfield in the entire Premier League.
Based on stats, he would easily make the England squad this summer, but we all know that Southgate has a big-club bias and there is little to no chance of it happening.
We can’t wait for this move to be made permanent, and should Marcelo Bielsa stay on like expected, the winger is only going to get better, which is a frightening proposition for any club.
