Adam Summerton reveals what he has always wanted to do ahead of Leeds United vs Sunderland coverage
Commentator Adam Summerton can’t wait for Leeds United against Sunderland on Tuesday night.
Daniel Farke‘s side will look to return to winning ways at Elland Road after narrowly losing 1-0 against Manchester City last time out, but the Mackems will be stern opponents.
The Whites will therefore need to draw on the energy of another raucous atmosphere under the lights, which Summerton is set to experience for the very first time.
Writing on X, he said: “Have always wanted to experience the atmosphere at an Elland Road night game – glad to be heading there tonight. Expecting a really good game too.”

Elland Road roar could prove too much for Sunderland
Summerton will be behind the mic and will hope for a Premier League classic, live on TNT Sports.
In a major boost for an expectant home crowd and the broadcaster’s hope for plenty of goals, Leeds look to be the narrow favourites thanks to an outstanding statistic.
Indeed, the Yorkshire outfit are unbeaten at Elland Road in 22 top-flight matches starting at 7 pm or later since April 2023, winning 19 of those, including the past 13.
Boasting an aggregate score of 33-7 from that batch of fixtures, Farke’s charges should take confidence and start on the front foot, which is guaranteed to bring the noise.
Sunderland must grapple with that record, but there will be a degree of pessimism on Wearside.
Leeds’ positive injury update will surely also add to the visitors’ headache.
Leeds given positive injury news update
Despite the quick turnaround after the defeat by City, Farke will be able to call upon a couple of big players yet again.
Joe Rodon is expected to be available for selection, despite suffering from a hamstring issue late on against City, while full-back James Justin is also in contention after stitches.
“He had some problems with his hamstring,” said Farke on Rodon. “It was in the beginning not clear if it was just a cramp or a light injury. We have assessed him and also scanned him.

“It seems like he is OK. So, as it stands, I expect him to be available for tomorrow.
“The only little question mark after the last game was James Justin because there was a straight leg against him. He needed to be stitched after the game. But he is a tough boy.”
Noah Okafor is set to be the only absentee for Leeds due to a thigh problem, while Sunderland miss some huge names like Nordi Mukiele, Brian Brobbey and possibly even Robin Roefs.
