Adam Pope: Jean-Kevin Augustin verdict may take months as CAS hearing concludes for Leeds United
It could take months for the Court of Arbitration for Sport to conclude their findings after the Leeds United appeal over Jean-Kevin Augustin was heard today.
That’s according to BBC journalist Adam Pope, who has reported that CAS held the hearing in Switzerland today over the dispute between the Whites and RB Leipzig.
The German side are fighting for the £18million initially agreed for the Frenchman after his failed loan move in 2019.

Writing on his personal Twitter account this afternoon (15 March), Pope shared the next steps for the Whites.
“I understand that the CAS hearing is now complete and that a verdict is awaited,” he wrote.
“This can take anything up to a few months under the internal processes at CAS.”
Waiting game.
Here we go then, it looks as though the Whites have done all they can to try and prevent paying out for Augustin.
The French striker now plays for France and was released quickly by RB Leipzig after he arrived back from West Yorkshire.
That should count towards something, although it appears as though the ball in certainly not in our court for this one.
FIFA ruled in Leipzig’s favour initially, and CAS are dealing with the appeal from Leeds, meaning it would have to have been a compelling argument today to change the outcome.
Leipzig chiefs commented after the hearing and admitted that they are “very confident” regarding the outcome.
Time will tell, but Andrea Radrizzani will be preparing for all different outcomes, something which may take months to happen anyway.
