Aberdeen want £6m for Leeds United linked Calvin Ramsay
Aberdeen have reportedly placed a £6million price tag on Leeds United target and right-back Calvin Ramsay.
According to 90Min, West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace have also been tracking the 18-year-old Scottish right-back.
However, it’s understood that Liverpool are currently the frontrunners with Ramsay very likely to leave the club this summer.
Out of reach?
If Liverpool are hellbent on signing him then there’s very little that Leeds can do to convince him.
He might not be a first-team regular there, but will get to play the rotational games and for an 18-year-old, he cannot ask for him.
He’ll be part of a team that competes in the Champions League and challenges for big titles every season.
Choosing Leeds over that seems rather naive and something that he would not do even if it means getting more game time.
However, if the Reds back out of the race and Leeds manage to stay in the Premier League, then he could be tempted to move to Elland Road.
Luke Ayling has been a shadow of his former self this season while Jamie Shackleton’s injury woes mean that it’s imperative for a club to sign someone in that position.
At 18, Ramsay could already be a regular for the Whites and within a few years may even become one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
If there’s any chance to sign him, Leeds must grab it.
