'8/10 performance as health minister', 'Love him' - Many Leeds fans thrilled with player video

Leeds United fans have been raving about Stuart Dallas after the 28-year-old issued a plea to the public to practice social distancing.

Dallas has taken to his personal Twitter account to upload a video of himself urging people to make sacrifices for the greater good and avoid social gatherings.

We are in the middle of a crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the least we can do is stay at home and do nothing – which is admittedly what a lot of us like to do anyway.

Dallas’ message has hopefully hit home with some people who hadn’t been doing that.

“We’re reaching a critical part with this virus,” said the Northern Ireland international.

“We need to help the NHS fight against it. I see reports of young people gathering as if it’s school holidays, it’s not.

“I see reports of them gathering and going to house parties, that’s not social distancing. It needs to stop and we need to sacrifice this next couple of months. If we do that altogether, we will save lives.”

We cannot state enough how much we love Dallas’ message.

He is a professional footballer for a massive club in England and has used his social reach to put across a very important message.

It’s a message that we should all consider and one that a lot of Leeds supporters are pleased to see.
