49ers Enterprises reshuffle Leeds United paperwork after new announcement

Beren Cross has shared that it was a reshuffling of paperwork for the 49ers Enterprises to transfer Elland Road ownership back to Leeds United.

The journalist reported on 11 July that although the paperwork to make the deal happen has been signed since March, the announcement of the move was made public by the club on Wednesday (10 July).

Andrea Radrizzani previously tried to use Elland Road as a bargaining chip in his takeover of Sampdoria and this move has now allowed any future fears to be eased.

What does the future hold for Leeds United

Although this move was small, it gives a statement of intent to supporters from the 49ers that they know what the club means to them.

This move not only allows fans to breathe a sigh of relief but also allows them to know that their owners aren’t in it only to make profit.

The 49ers still own the stadium whether it’s within their company or Leeds United’s but no matter what, it stops the ground from being used as a bargaining chip should things go south.

Leeds failed to gain promotion to the Premier League last term which has no doubt affected plans that were potentially in play for the future.

However, although the investment of Red Bull into the club was frowned upon by some fans, it feels as if their involvement could turn out to be exactly what the West Yorkshire outfit needed.

And, with talent such as Archie Gray and Charlie Cresswell departing this summer, improvements will no doubt have to be ramped up.
