£250,000-a-week package offered amid Leeds United dressing room turmoil
Sam Allardyce has been offered £1million to keep Leeds United in the Premier League, according to the Daily Star.
But he is heading into a “dressing room in turmoil” amid a miserable campaign for the Whites, who currently sit 17th in the table.
The manager has just four matches left to secure safety, having previously achieved a similar feat at both Sunderland and Crystal Palace.

According to the Guardian, Allardyce is in advanced talks to succeed Javi Gracia in the dugout at Elland Road.
“Sam Allardyce has been offered a bonus of £1million to keep Leeds in the Premier League,” according to the Daily Star.
“But the former England and Everton boss will be walking into a dressing room in turmoil at Elland Road.”

Desperation at Elland Road
It’s a very worrying time to be a Leeds fan, with the club currently out of the relegation zone only on goal difference, with their 30 points level with Nottingham Forest in 18th.
The potential £1million fee – which would work out at £250,000-a-week as there is one month of the season to go – is a mammoth figure, and should give Leeds supporters a bit of comfort given that Allardyce will undoubtedly do his utmost to gain the reward.
Given how there are just four games remaining, there probably won’t be much warmth between the boss and the fans, with all parties simply wanting to keep the club in the division no matter what.
But unfortunately for Allardyce, he has been handed the worst start possible, with Leeds set to take on Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday (6 May).
There is perhaps no tougher fixture in world football right now, with Allardyce needing to work his magic from the very first whistle.
But that isn’t his only headache, with the Whites having to meet high-flying Newcastle immediately after the near-impossible Manchester City test.
In other Leeds United news, one pundit has hit out at the club’s strategy and believes there are “deeper issues” at play.
