'100%' - Phil Hay shares more info about expected season two of Leeds Amazon documentary

The Athletic journalist Phil Hay is expecting Amazon to make a second season of their Leeds United documentary ‘Take Us Home’.

In the first season, Amazon’s film crew followed Marcelo Bielsa and his players as Leeds missed out on promotion to the Premier League last year.

However, this time around, Amazon’s cameras have caught Leeds’ triumphant return to the top-flight as Championship champions.

Hay has shed some further light on season two of ‘Take Us Home’, saying that it might only be a short series this time around.

“Amazon are 100% on the scene again. We’re expecting season two – but probably not six episodes this time,” Hay wrote on The Athletic website.

This Amazon series is going to be something that Leeds fans can look back on in the future to remind themselves of the two wonderful seasons that Bielsa had at Elland Road in the Championship.

Of course, last season ended the way that no one wanted and there were a couple of huge incidents on the way to the play-off defeat to Derby County.

But this season wouldn’t have happened if the players – and Bielsa – didn’t learn so much about themselves in their failures of last year.

It’s probably going to be a while before Amazon get the new season up but we cannot wait to see the short series on one of the most historic years in Leeds United history.

In other Leeds United news, Wayne Rooney is set to lead Derby’s guard of honour.
