Yorkshire Evening Post confirms Hull injury news for Leeds clash, McCann squad rocked

The Yorkshire Evening Post has confirmed that Hull City will be without seven squad members ahead of their clash with Leeds United.

Grant McCann’s squad has been rocked and the Tigers will be without many key members of their side for the Yorkshire derby.

Tom Eaves, Jordy De Wijs, Reece Burke, Eric Lichaj, Herbie Kane, Keane Lewis-Potter and Jon Toral are all absent for the game at the KCOM Stadium.

That isn’t the news many Hull fans would have been hoping for, with their side not having won a single Championship game since New Year’s Day.

Leeds will be relishing the trip East, with McCann himself admitting that if his side doesn’t improve they will face a hammering at the hands of Marcelo Bielsa’s men who continue to dominate.

The Whites themselves could be missing a couple of big faces, with Jean-Kevin Augustin a confirmed absentee whilst Kalvin Phillips has been classed as a doubt.

Bielsa will be wanting to shift pressure onto the chasing pack on Saturday. Three points in the early kick-off would put the Whites eight-points clear of the play-offs.

Barnsley took all three points from the KCOM on Wednesday evening. The Tykes had 10 more shots, and double the number of efforts on target according to Sofa Score.

The away side also completed 90 more accurate passes, and if Hull allow Leeds to dominate them in a similar fashion, it could be an even longer clash for the Tigers.

In other Leeds United news, plenty of Whites fans want this one rarely-seen ace to start against Hull on Saturday
