Leeds United fans and Marcelo Bielsa have enjoyed a love-in ever since the Argentine arrived at Elland Road but there's a split building over one player – Kiko Casilla.

The fans have seen enough and most don't want him playing again. Bielsa feels very differently.

Casilla got a rare start in the FA Cup against Crawley last week and put in a terrible performance that led directly to one goal.

His mistakes go back to the infamous play-off semi-final against Derby and beyond.

And, for some fans, it's not just his howlers on the pitch. His ban for racist abuse last season lost him the gloves and lost him the support of a large part of the fan base.

However, in yesterday's press conference, Bielsa mounted a very staunch defence of the Spanish keeper.

As relayed by Athletic journalist Phil Hay he said, "I fully trust in Kiko. I will do my utmost to help him."

Bielsa went on to say that Casilla had been harshly treated and that fans ignore his track record with Real Madrid.

It garnered a lot of reaction on Twitter and a lot of fans took issue with Bielsa about his admiration for Casilla.

Bielsa's defence hints that Leeds aren't going back in for another keeper in January and that means that Casilla will be the back-up if anything happens to Illan Meslier.

These fans aren't happy about that and it's the first time we've seen so many supporters disagree with Bielsa...
