‘Wow’ – Many Leeds fans saying same thing after latest Ben White display for Brighton
One of the big disappointments of the summer was Brighton refusing to do business with Leeds United for Ben White.
Marcelo Bielsa turned him into a centre-back superstar last season and Graham Potter seems intent on throwing it all away.
He played White in midfield for the second game running as Brighton failed to beat relegation rivals West Brom at home, drawing 1-1.
And it’s the “rivals” tag that got most Leeds fans talking again last night.
Brighton point-blank refused to do business with Leeds saying they would never strengthen a direct rival.
The funny thing is, Leeds are now fifth in the league and Brighton are fifth from bottom.
Plenty of Leeds fans couldn’t resist taking a dig after their latest game.
We think it’s important to say we feel for White here. Bielsa has improved every single player he’s come into contact with, White included.
It must be tough for him to watch what’s happening at Leeds while having to turn out for Potter.
Leeds have come out of it okay, signing Robin Koch, who’s looking better and better each week.
The hope now will be that Brighton see sense and sell White to us in the summer.
In the meantime, here are the best reactions to his latest display…

As for the direct rivals tag – even the Brighton fans seem to have given up on that now after delighting in it over the summer.
This particular view was shared by a number of Brighton fans after their 1-1 draw with West Brom.
