Leeds United have announced that 21,600 fans have signed up for season ticket renewals for the 20/21 season, despite not knowing when it might start or what division the club will be in.

It’s an incredible show of support in such uncertain times and Leeds fans are absolutely blown away by the news.

Leeds posted the update on Friday evening saying, “We cannot thank our Season Ticket Holders enough for their continued and unrivalled support as 21,600 sign up to join us for the 2020/21 campaign.”

There was a bit of controversy over the March 27 deadline, with the financial uncertainty for so many over the Coronavirus outbreak.

However, Angus Kinnear said this would be extended for fans that were worried. There’s been no more information about for how long yet or when they might go back on sale.

In the meantime, with 23,000 season tickets up for renewal, that’s an incredible 94% renewal rate.

It’s an amazing show of how passionate the Leeds fans are but it will also massively help the club which is facing the loss of £2.5m in gate receipts because of the suspension of the last five home games of the season.

Leeds fans, we salute you.
