Wolves vs Leeds postponement latest as Met Office issues new warning

Leeds United face Wolves on Saturday in their third away fixture of the Premier League campaign.

The Whites were thrashed by Arsenal 5-0 in their first away trip of the season.

Following that, United looked set to pick up a valuable point against Fulham until Gabriel Gudmundsson’s bizarre own goal cost Leeds in stoppage time.

Leeds already seemingly have injuries to deal with ahead of their upcoming game against Wolves, but the latest Met Office update is another bit of news that Daniel Farke will not want to hear.

Yellow weather warning in place for Wolves vs Leeds game

For the Leeds supporters travelling to watch their side play Wolves on Saturday, the weather update around the game will make for equally grim reading.

According to the Met Office, there is a yellow weather warning in place for the West Midlands.

On Saturday, it is set to become increasingly wet and windy, with the rain being particularly heavy at times.

Whilst there is no immediate threat of the game being called off, there is certainly something to consider for United supporters in attendance.

With some bright and sunny intervals being described as “possible”, those making the trip will hope this becomes a reality during the game.

Leeds will be hoping Jayden Bogle replicates Luke Ayling heroics against Wolves

Back in March of 2022, when Leeds were in the midst of their relegation battle under Jesse Marsch, Ayling grabbed a dramatic 91st-minute winner to complete an astonishing 3-2 win, with Leeds initially being two goals down.

The now iconic roly poly celebration to accommodate this means this is a game that will live long in the memory for those associated with the Elland Road outfit.

Like Ayling, Bogle also has an eye for a goal despite being a right-back, and if the game is tight, Leeds may need their defender to pop up with another one at Molineux.

Bogle’s equaliser in the Carabao Cup against Sheffield Wednesday remains the only goal Farke’s men have scored from open play this season, and the 25-year-old may need to add to his tally on Saturday.
