Wolves given major boost ahead of Leeds United clash after what Vitor Pereira has said
Leeds United are set to take on Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.
Despite Wolves sitting at the bottom of the Premier League on zero points from their first four matches, Leeds are the underdogs heading into the game against Wolves.
Leeds looked to be without Dan James and Willy Gnonto going into the game, but recent footage of Gnonto from Thorp Arch suggests otherwise.
However, whilst Leeds look to have been a boost regarding a key player’s availability, so have Wolves.

Jorgen Strand Larsen expected to start against Leeds
Chris Sutton is among those expecting Leeds to lose over the weekend, and this possibility may become even more likely after the latest update regarding Strand Larsen.
Speaking in his pre-game press conference on Friday, Wolves manager Vitor Pereira confirmed that the striker trained on Thursday and Strand Larsen will be available to face Leeds, but “not for 90 minutes”.
- Strand Larsen was exceptional for Wolves last season, scoring 14 Premier League goals in 35 appearances
- The 25-year-old also managed to grab four assists in the league last season
- Stand Larsen’s 14 goals came from an xG of 10.27, suggesting he was extremely clinical (Sofascore)
Although the Norwegian has yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League in his two appearances this season, he did manage to bag a brace against West Ham in the Carabao Cup.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin needs to establish himself as Leeds’ talisman
Whilst the data suggests Calvert-Lewin has been Leeds’ best striker so far this season, the 28-year-old has yet to score since making the move to Elland Road as a free agent over the summer.
For teams like Leeds and Wolves, who will likely be in and around the relegation zone come the end of the season, it is crucial they have a forward who will notch them at least 10 league goals.
This is something the former Evertonian has not managed in just over four seasons, and it is up to Calvert-Lewin to prove he is still capable of this if he wants to salvage any hopes of being a Premier League footballer for the remainder of his career.
