Willy Gnonto returns, new signing misses out again – Predicted Leeds United XI vs Wolves
Leeds United are back on the road on Saturday as they travel to take on Wolves.
Leeds returned empty-handed from Fulham at Craven Cottage in a game that Daniel Farke surely would have targeted beforehand as a realistic opportunity to pick up some points away from home.
After turning up late before kick-off, Leeds may potentially be fined in what turned out to be a weekend that United supporters will want to completely forget.
Following the 1-0 defeat, the Whites will now have even more pressure on their shoulders as Leeds go to Molineux to face Wolves, who currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League.

Brenden Aaronson on the wing experiment to end
For reasons only the German manager will know, Farke played Aaronson out on the right wing against Fulham and to nobody’s shock, the American struggled.
Willy Gnonto has been Leeds’ brightest spark so far this season, and the Italian will be expected to come back in, but on the right to accommodate new signing Noah Okafor, who will likely keep his place.
Despite Gudmundsson’s own goal costing Leeds a valuable point against Fulham, the Swede will most likely keep his place in the side at left-back.
With Sean Longstaff impressing again, you can imagine Farke will keep him in the side and not risk Ao Tanaka, who was on the bench against Fulham after injury.
Aside from the Arsenal game, Pascal Struijk and Joe Rodon have hardly put a foot wrong this season, meaning Jaka Bijol’s wait for his first start in the heart of the Leeds defence goes on.

Leeds cannot afford to lose against Wolves
If Leeds gift Wolves their first three points of the season, their solid start to the new campaign will have unravelled already.
Leeds have lost every game they have played on the road this season in all competitions, and if Farke’s side cannot pick up at least a point against Wolves, then the travelling supporters will begin to wonder where success will come away.
- Arsenal thumped Leeds 5-0 at the Emirates
- Sheffield Wednesday embarrassingly dumped Leeds out of the Carabao Cup on penalties at Hillsborough
- Fulham beat Leeds 1-0 after Gudmundsson’s late own goal
With the likes of Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin having more minutes in their legs as they build up to full match fitness, Leeds will hope to be more of an attacking threat at the weekend after being largely toothless up to this point.
