Wilfried Gnonto decision made amid five changes – Confirmed Leeds XI v Plymouth Argyle
Leeds United have revealed their confirmed starting lineup for their FA Cup fourth-round replay with Plymouth Argyle at Home Park on Tuesday 6 February.
The Whites head into the clash with Plymouth off the back of a big win, having beaten Bristol City 1-0 away from home on Friday 2 February to make it five consecutive victories in the Championship.
Plymouth and Leeds drew 1-1 at Elland Road on Saturday 27 January when the two sides first met and now get set to do battle once again for a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Daniel Farke has made five changes from the side which picked up three points at Ashton Gate, with Ethan Ampadu, Archie Gray, Patrick Bamford, Cryseensio Summerville and Georginio Rutter all dropped to the bench.
Wilfried Gnonto has kept his place after his winning goal against Bristol City.
FA Cup run on the cards for Leeds United?
The draw with Plymouth at the end of January was the only time Farke’s side have failed to win a match since the turn of the year, last tasting defeat when they were beaten 1-0 by West Brom at The Hawthorns on 29 December.
They cruised to the fourth round of the competition with a 3-0 win away at Peterborough United on 7 January, where Patrick Bamford lit up the third round with his wonder goal.
However, they know they won’t be in for an easy night, with Plymouth unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions.
Promotion will be the main objective for Farke this season, but those in West Yorkshire are unlikely to turn their noses up at a run in England’s oldest cup competition.
A trip to Premier League opposition awaits the winners of tonight’s clash, with Chelsea and Aston Villa set to meet at Villa Park in an FA Cup fourth-round replay of their own on Wednesday 7 February.
It promises to be an exciting day out, and Leeds fans will be hoping it is their side who get to challenge themselves against a team from England’s top flight in the next round.
