‘What happened in Leeds win vs West Ham was unbelievable’ – Alan Smith
Leeds United eased their way to victory at home to West Ham on Friday night.
Pressure was building on Daniel Farke at Leeds ahead of the Elland Road clash, with everyone well aware of just how crucial a win would be.
Thankfully, that pressure was eased for the time being, with Leeds securing a 2-1 victory against West Ham in relatively comfortable fashion.
Most of the focus will be on the Whites’ strengths throughout the game, though Alan Smith could not believe what he was watching in the first half.

Joe Rodon goal leads to West Ham rage from Alan Smith
West Ham have been horrid this season, and Leeds were the favourites to come away with all three points at Elland Road.
However, quite literally no one would have anticipated the game being as easy as it was for Farke’s side, who found themselves 2-0 up inside 15 minutes.
Brenden Aaronson opened the scoring inside three minutes, with Joe Rodon doubling his side’s advantage from a corner.
The Welshman was largely unchallenged by the West Ham defence, and Smith was left scratching his head as to how the Irons made it so easy for him.
Commenting via Sky Sports Premier League, Smith said: “You cannot believe it.
“[West Ham] must work in training so hard, and so much at defending these set-pieces, because they have been so poor.
“It’s about attitude and wanting to get your head there first. Joe Rodon doesn’t have to do a lot at all.”
Leeds really came out firing vs West Ham
It cannot be underestimated just how crucial a good start can be in games like this.
Given West Ham’s situation, the smallest of setbacks will knock the stuffing out of them, and by opening the scoring as early as they did, Leeds set themselves up for the perfect night.
With two goals in the first 15 minutes, it was the fastest they have scored two goals in a Premier League game for 20 years.
Historically, 11 points after 10 games sets you up for safety in the Premier League, and after Friday night’s triumph, Leeds have accumulated that with one game to spare.
