Weston McKennie decision made - Confirmed Leeds United XI v Nottingham Forest

Jesse Marsch has named a strong Leeds United starting line-up against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday (5 February) in the Premier League.

The Whites are heading into the game on the back of a 3-0 win against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup, but they need a win in the league.

Via Twitter, Leeds have shared the playing eleven for this game with Marsch making as many as five changes from the previous game.

Pascal Struijk returns in place of Robin Koch who is suspended. Weston McKennie, the January signing is on bench. The likes of Georginio Rutter, Junior Firpo, Ramus Kritensen and Sam Greenwood have been dropped.

Luke Ayling, Liam Cooper, Tyler Adams and Willy Gnonto have come in place for them.

The recent performances have been encouraging but it’s time to show some results.

The board has backed Marsch fully over two transfer windows and he cannot have complaints about the squad.

The club signed a striker, a midfielder, and a left-back in the January window, and they have to get some points on board.

Marsch is confident that Leeds will not be drawn into the relegation battle and there are a lot of games left in the season. However, these are the games they have to win and pick up points.

They are languishing close to the relegation zone, but a win here will lift the mood in the dressing room.

Leeds are without Rodrigo who will be out for six or eight weeks now. Patrick Bamford will have to step up in his absence.

The Whites need to sort out their leaky defence. Without Robin Koch, who is suspended, the task becomes difficult.
