‘Very good player’ – Ben Parker expects Fulham to make ‘high quality’ change v Leeds

Leeds United travel to a Fulham side on Saturday that aren’t exactly in the best run of form in the Championship.

Scott Parker’s side have lost their last three games and have dropped to sixth in the league table, currently sitting 12 points behind the Whites.

In their 1-0 defeat to Brentford last time out, the Cottagers averaged more possession. Their downfall was conceding too many chances though, with the home side having double the amount of attempts on goal [Sky Sports].

Ben Parker expects Fulham to make changes from that defeat on Saturday, mentioning Anthony Knockaert as a player who could come in at Craven Cottage.

“Just don’t focus on him (Mitrovic), I mentioned the two guys out wide as well, Knockaert in particular,” he said on the LUTV app.

“Who might come into the team, he’s a very good player indeed.

“I mentioned about Knockaert, I believe he’ll probably come into the team. He’s a player with high quality.”

Ivan Cavaleiro has cemented his spot on the right-wing, so it would be Luke Ayling tasked with keeping Knockaert quiet should he come into the side at Craven Cottage.

Ayling has been superb in recent weeks and could be just the man Marcelo Bielsa wants to combat the attacking prowess held by the Frenchman out wide.

The 28-year-old has only scored twice in his 22 appearances this season though, so there are no guarantees that he will come straight back into the Fulham side because of the defeat against Brentford.
