'Unreal', 'MOTM', 'Our best player' - Many Leeds fans thrilled with one man despite loss v Wigan

It was a miserable afternoon for Leeds United supporters on Saturday as they watched their side lose 1-0 against relegation-threatened Wigan at Elland Road.

An own goal by Pablo Hernandez was enough to separate the two sides as Leeds dropped off top spot in the Championship yet again as West Brom beat Luton.

Leeds were impressive in midweek when they came from two goals down to beat Millwall and earn their first Championship victory of 2020 but there was no sign of there being any momentum gained from that match when Wigan arrived in West Yorkshire.

Pretty much every single player had a bad game for the Whites but one man who stood out to some supporters on Twitter was winger Jack Harrison.

Although the 23-year-old missed a golden chance to score his sixth goal of the season, it was still a decent outing by the on-loan Manchester City player.

According to WhoScored, Harrison completed 96 per cent of his passes, completed three dribbles and made three key passes.

He was arguably the biggest threat to Wigan’s defence for the entire game, if you discount his poor miss.

It is hard to pick out a good performance in what was such a poor display by Leeds as a whole but it would be fair to say that Harrison was the pick of the bunch, although we all know that the ex-New York City attacker can play a lot better than he did against the Latics.

Here is a selection of tweets by fans who were thrilled with Harrison’s performance:
