‘Unbelievable’ – Neil Warnock blown away by ‘cultured’ Leeds ace after 2-0 win v Huddersfield
Neil Warnock has been raving about Luke Ayling’s “unbelievable” goal for Leeds United in their 2-0 win against Huddersfield on Saturday.
Ayling, 28, was on the scoresheet for the third time in five games when his superb volley found the back of the net in the first half of the Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.
The right-back went on to celebrate by pulling his hair out of his top-knot and showing off his locks to the home fans.
Although ex-Leeds boss Warnock wasn’t impressed by Ayling’s celebration, he couldn’t speak highly enough about the defender’s goal.
“That’s a striker’s finish. That’s a hell of a finish,” Warnock said on EFL on Quest on Saturday night.
“I’m not sure about the haircut but the strike and the finish is unbelievable.
“It’s a great ball in and he keeps his eye on it. It’s just a typical, cultured, manual one that.
“He keeps it on target and it’s a great finish.”
It was an amazing goal by Ayling and definitely one of the goal of the season contenders for not only Leeds, but the whole of the Championship.
Leeds have scored a few good goals lately with Ayling’s stunner against Huddersfield and Tyler Roberts’ goal against Hull perhaps being the pick of the bunch.
Although it’s great to see these beautiful goals, we don’t mind if all the goals scored between now and the end of the season are like Patrick Bamford’s tap-in in the second half.
