'They will not be afraid' - Hasselbaink makes Leeds claim ahead of Man United clash

Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink has predicted that Leeds United will be fearless against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

The Whites travel to Old Trafford in the Premier League for the first time in 16 years and will be looking to replicate their famous FA Cup victory.

Hasselbaink was asked what everyone should expect from the Whites, and the Dutchman claimed that it will be a massively open game in the Roses battle.

Speaking on Sky Sports Super Sunday (20/12 11:39 am), Hasselbaink explained how he expects his former side to play at Old Trafford.

“The intensity will definitely be there because how Leeds play, that is what it’s all about,” he said.

“Leeds play with intensity, they will have a go as Roy [Keane] says. They will not sit back, because that is not in their nature, they will attack and normally, we will see a really open and good football game.

“They will not be afraid, they will take the game to Manchester United.”

It’s straight forward, Leeds don’t change their approach for anyone.

Marcelo Bielsa has reiterated that point this week, claiming that the Whites have no plan B, and that they are for reducing anxiety.

Speaking to Sky Sports, El Loco admitted that changing plans is “completely replacing” the structure that he has built at Elland Road.

Everyone knows what to expect, but it is another thing stopping it, and Manchester United are prone to collapsing at home – imagine that but under added pressure and the Whites’ chances get bigger as we get closer to kick-off.
