Leeds United and Sky Sports have a very shaky relationship at the best of times.

Sky are forever switching Leeds’ fixtures around and messing fans about and the brilliant Whites fans have responded by coming up with their very own song.

We can’t publish the lyrics to that song here, suffice to say that Sky go out of their way to mute it when it’s being bellowed out from the stands at Elland Road.

Sky Sports appeared to be getting their own back in the first half against Stoke today.

With fake crowd noise being pumped through the Sky Sports broadcast, plenty of Leeds fans were fuming to hear “Leeds are falling apart” coming out not once, but several times in the first half.

Some fans weren’t sure whether it was Sky or noise being pumped out at Elland Road itself, but we’re 99.9% sure that Leeds wouldn’t be pumping that out on their own sound system

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t make a whole lot of difference – the players can’t hear the noises.

However, this is supposed to be a home game for Leeds and it seems needlessly petulant for Sky to do this.

They make a lot of money out of Leeds in the Championship – we’re by the far the most-watched club.

Some fans urged Elland Road to retaliate with the Sky song on the Elland Road PA. And, while that would have been funny, it wouldn’t help the players.

And it looked like they needed some help after Tyler Roberts missed a huge chance, cannoning a shot off a Stoke defender with the whole goal at his mercy.

However, Mateusz Klich scored from the spot just before half-time. Incredibly, Sky played the song again just as he stepped up to take the penalty! And the goal didn’t deter them as they played it again straight after.
