Supercomputer predicts outcome of Leeds United vs Aston Villa in Premier League showdown

Leeds United could struggle once again as they prepare to face Aston Villa on Sunday.

Leeds will play host to Aston Villa at Elland Road as Daniel Farke readies his side to face off against Unai Emery’s men in a return to Premier League action.

Farke has come under sack pressure at Leeds and will be keen to bounce back to winning ways against the West Midlands outfit.

The Whites have suffered back-to-back defeats after Leeds lost 3-1 away to Nottingham Forest in their last outing before the international break.

Villa have been in a superb run of form themselves and will be keen to maintain that as they look set to represent stern competition for the LS11 club.

Aston Villa backed to secure victory away to Leeds United

Farke could soon be sacked by Leeds if results continue to go against the German in the top flight.

The ex-Norwich City man is in desperate need of three points, but the chances of that happening aren’t likely to improve when looking at the fixture list.

Until Leeds face off against Brentford in mid-December, this Aston Villa clash is arguably the best chance of a win for the Elland Road faithful.

That isn’t to say things will be easy against an Emery side that has recently secured wins against Manchester City, Tottenham and Bournemouth.

Their recent form has tipped the scales massively in their favour, with the Opta supercomputer affording Villa a 55 per cent chance of victory away in Yorkshire.

Leeds are backed at just 22.8 per cent chance to pick up a home win, while a draw is slightly less favourable at just 22.2 per cent.

How can Leeds United exploit Aston Villa?

Villa are famed for their ability to play out from the back slowly, before pouncing on their opposition when the chance comes.

Emery faces problems when dealing with a low-block as his side can’t wait for space to form, they need to go and make things happen themselves.

The likes of Emi Buendia have done well at that this season, but a stern defensive showing could prove to be the way forward for Farke and Co.

There are also small wins to take from the Villa backline, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin potentially able to cause huge problems for Pau Torres in particular.

His physicality could prove to be the undoing of the away side, but it will all depend on how Farke wants to operate against a top side.
