'Superb' - Gary Lineker blown away by Leeds 'Goal of the Season' contender v West Brom

Leeds United were out of this world in their Premier League clash against West Brom on Tuesday evening, winning 5-0.

The Whites scored four in the first-half, following up Romaine Sawyers’ own-goal with strikes from Ezgjan Alioski, Jack Harrison and Rodrigo.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men finished the job in the second-half with Raphinha curling an unstoppable strike into the top corner.

Gary Lineker was blown away by the finish, and took to his personal Twitter account to claim it was a “goal of the season contender.”

“Another superb goal for Leeds,” he said. “Might be a goal of the season contender for Raphinha.”

It was an incredible finish, but two of the others were also out of this world.

From the Alioski piledriver to the passing move for Harrison’s goal, Bielsa will have been delighted with what his side showed at the Hawthorns.

Raphinha has been a breath of fresh air since arriving from Rennes.

The Brazilian has scored twice in the Premier League, and both have been long-range rockets, with the possibly even better than his strike at Everton.

The 24-year-old kept more possession of the ball by himself than any of the West Brom sides, having two shots on goal and only being dispossessed once according to WhoScored.

If this is Raphinha slowly becoming his best, we have something out of this world to look forward too between now and the end of the season.
