Super Computer predicts where Leeds will finish in PL after 1 win in 6

Some Leeds United fans are getting a bit worried about the club getting dragged into a relegation battle.

The 0-0 against Chelsea has to go down as a good result but it means that Leeds have only won one in the last six.

Sides below them are picking up points and Leeds play 18th-placed Fulham on Friday night.

They’re in good form at the moment and a win for Fulham would see them just seven points behind Leeds with nine games left.

However, top prediction site FiveThirtyEight doesn’t believe there’s anything to worry about.

It’s latest final-season table actually sees Leeds move up a place into 11th following the draw against Chelsea.

That would see them finish above Wolves and 11 points ahead of Fulham, who are predicted to go down in 18th place.

No problem but…

We’re still in the camp that thinks there’s no chance of Leeds getting dragged into a relegation struggle.

However, we would also say that we really need a win from one of our next two games, against Fulham and Sheffield United.

We haven’t won in London since 2017 and Fulham are in fantastic form at the moment.

Sheffield United are battling for their lives at the bottom but are realistically down already and got battered 3-0 by Leicester over the weekend. That’s definitely going to be the easier game of the two.

However, after that it gets tough.

Leeds play Man City, Liverpool and then Man United in a really tough two weeks in April.

Thankfully, we think Leeds have enough points on the board to guard against all but the most remarkable of season run-ins.

That’s the view of BBC journalist Adam Pope, too.
