Sunderland vs Leeds United: Match preview, weather forecast, travel and all you need to know

Leeds United travel to the Stadium of Light on Sunday to face Sunderland in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s side go into the contest in superb form, unbeaten in their last four games and six points clear of the relegation zone.

The Whites are reaping the rewards of a change in system at the start of December, and now look as if they have a great chance of avoiding an immediate return to the Championship.

Match preview

Both Leeds and Sunderland were promoted from the Championship last season, with the former winning the title and the latter enjoying play-off glory.

However, it is Regis Le Bris’ side that has been the success story of the Premier League this term, currently sitting sixth in the table.

Leeds beat Crystal Palace 4-1 last Saturday, and have finally found some form under Farke in recent weeks.

Wins over Palace and Chelsea have been supplemented by draws with Liverpool and Brentford, meaning that the Whites will travel to Wearside with a spring in their step.
