‘Stealing a living’, ‘Absolute passenger’ – These Leeds fans slam ‘shocking’ player v Brentford

Patrick Bamford missed a fairly straightforward header for Leeds United on Tuesday night, putting the ball over the bar and out for a goal kick.

But he didn’t get a lot of service at Griffin Park and the worst offenders in front of goal were the two wide men, Jack Harrison and Helder Costa,

Harrison missed the first big chance for Leeds in the first half but he was full of energy and apart from the chance he missed he had a good game.

The same can’t be said about Costa.

He kept trying down the right-hand side but nothing came off for him and when he was presented with a great chance his shot resembled a back pass.

His crossing was errant and his dribbling usually ended in possession for Brentford.

Ian Poveda was signed as cover from Man City but he hasn’t even made the bench for the last two games and that’s odd.

It meant that there was no option but to persevere with Costa tonight but fans weren’t happy with what they saw.

It was a hugely dominant display from Leeds and they were by far the better side but once again, where was the end product?

Here are the best reactions to Costa’s display today from fans on Twitter…
