Spotted: Leeds United captain Liam Cooper swears at Sky Sports cameraman live on-air as footage emerges

Liam Cooper was found himself in a bizarre incident involving a Sky Sports cameraman as Leeds United versus Chelsea was about to kick-off on Wednesday night (11 May).

According to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay, the 30-year-old Leeds captain told the cameraman to “[expletive] off” after he got in his face when the game was meant to be kicking off.

You can see in the footage below where Cooper has a go at the Sky Sports man, while referee Anthony Taylor also goes over to usher them off the pitch.

Weird

We don’t remember ever seeing anything like that before.

A cameraman lingering around the pitch, getting barked at by a player and then ordered to the sidelines by a referee? You never know what’s going to happen in football, do you?

Well, you do know what’s going to happen when Leeds take to the field.

There are going to be goals conceded, there are going to be yellow cards, there are going to be stupid mistakes and there are going to be red cards.

Leeds have been an absolute shambles this season.

There have been things that we haven’t been able to control – like the injuries – but there have been so many issues within the control of the Whites that should have been avoided.

Was sacking Marcelo Bielsa the right decision?

Well, you cannot say it was if this side gets relegated – and that’s looking super likely now.

Leeds’ squad is plagued with injuries and suspensions and there are two in-form teams who now lie in wait in the final two matches of the season.
