Spotted: Kalvin Phillips caught on camera back in Leeds United training

Kalvin Phillips has been caught on camera training for Leeds United ahead of their trip to Molineux on Friday night.

Phillips, 26, has been out of action since 5 December due to a hamstring injury and has been earmarked to make a return after the upcoming international break by Jesse Marsch.

However, it seems as though the England international is making huge strides in his recovery with an eagle-eyed Leeds fan spotting the midfielder in the background of a training image at Thorp Arch yesterday [16 March].

You can make out the top of Phillips’ unmistakable head behind Robin Koch’s right arm.

Major boost

Even if Phillips doesn’t make the squad on Friday night when Leeds play Wolves at Molineux, it’s just great to see the midfielder back on the grass at Thorp Arch.

It looks as though he’s in proper first-team training based on the fact that Koch is also in the picture.

Liam Cooper is there also as the Leeds captain seems to be on the comeback trial too along with Phillips.

It’s very, very unlikely that Phillips will make the starting line-up against Wolves and there’s probably also no chance that he’ll make the bench.

But what a lift it will be for everyone to see two of the club’s most important players back in the squad and training ahead of a massive game against Wolves.

Leeds moved themselves four points clear of the Premier League’s relegation zone with their win over Norwich on Sunday.

Winning against Wolves would be a major boost in their bid to stay in the top-flight.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could pay £6.17million within weeks after a major development this week.
