Some Leeds fans react to official tweet from PNE Police
PNE Police sent a brilliant message to Leeds fans following the game at Deepdale on Tuesday night – and the Leeds supporters have replied showing their respect.
The PNE Police account posted an impressive picture of the Leeds support from the game last night, along with the message, “Safe journey home to the 5614 #lufc fans who attended Deepdale tonight……honours even see you on Boxing Day.”

If you’ve ever travelled with Leeds then this will come as a massive breath of fresh air.
The policing at Deepdale is always done with respect and without a hint of being partisan. And that is so different to a number of other forces that we won’t name here.
Policing a football game is undoubtedly a tough job, especially when the away side brings so many fans.
However, treat people with respect and treat them fairly and you’re 10x more likely to be treated well in return.
We take our hats off to the PNE Police, who did a brilliant job last night and made everyone feel welcome. Isn’t that what football is supposed to be about?
They confirmed that bar a couple of ejections for “ground safety” there were no issues and no arrests. That’s down to the Leeds fans and also the policing.
Save for a couple or ejections for “ground safety” breaches no issues no arrests 👍🏻

There are many other forces that could take some lessons from the PNE Police and make football grounds a better place for everyone.
There are always going to be a minority of idiots that go to matches from all clubs. Police need to make sure they don’t lump everyone in with them.
Here are the best reactions from Leeds supporters to the fantastic tweet.
You always treat fans how they should be treat. This compared to Saturday at Sheff Wednesday with South Yorkshire police will be like chalk and cheese.

Well policed…. again. Just wish other grounds had the same mentality instead of trying to bully us and creating problems.

Well policed in town on way to ground in and out of the stadium
You should run courses to show other police forces how it’s done 👍🏼— simon holliday (@simonholliday1) October 23, 2019
Thanks guys, hopefully there was no trouble from us. Always good to see a force treating us as fans
