Sky Sports pundit shares what Leeds United players said about Robin Koch injury
Jermaine Beckford overheard Leeds United players saying that Robin Koch suffered a bad cut to his head in the first half against Manchester United.
In the opening stages of the Premier League showdown at Elland Road, Koch found himself having his head wrapped up after a hard challenge by Scott McTominay.
Leeds’ physios had to patch the Germany international up as he was bleeding quite badly.

He was able to continue for a few more minutes before the head-knock seemingly started to affect him more but Sky Sports pundit Beckford heard what Leeds players said about the incident on the touchline.
“I thought it was pretty bad,” said Beckford on Sky Sports Premier League in the first half [20 February, 02:15pm].
“I don’t think McTominay went into it with any real malice but there’s no doubting that he caught Robin Koch accidentally with his head.
“I was looking at a few of the boys when they came to the touchline and they did say the split was quite bad so hopefully he’ll be able to carry on.”

Ugly challenge
We’re at a loss as to why McTominay didn’t get a booking for what was a needlessly strong challenge on Koch.
We get that it’s a derby match that’s being played at a fast pace and we get that both teams are desperate to win. However, there’s a line that you cannot go over and McTominay’s roughness should have been punished.
Koch was absolutely clattered by the Scotland international and in the 29th minute, he went back to the ground, seemingly still being affected by the knock to his head.
Did Leeds follow the protocols properly with a potential concussion for the German enforcer?
