Sky Sports pundit raves about Leeds attacker in loss v QPR: 'He has made a big difference'

Sky Sports pundit Danny Higginbotham was full of praise for Jack Harrison on Saturday despite Leeds United suffering a 1-0 defeat at QPR.

Harrison, 23, completed 90 minutes as the Whites missed out on the chance to go top of the Championship for at least the next 48 hours thanks to a controversial winner by Nahki Wells in the first half.

Not a single Leeds player stood out as having a good game but at least Harrison did get some positive attention in the match when co-commentator Higginbotham mentioned him as one of the Whites’ most important players this term.

“He has made a big difference this season. Last season it was nearly. This season it has been the assists, the goals, that final ball and a lot of it is down to himself,” said Higginbotham on Sky Sports Football on Saturday [01:41pm].

“He did a lot of extra work in the summer in America. Full credit to him for doing that.”

Leeds were shocking at QPR. Truly shocking.

It is hard to point out a single player who had a good game but Harrison was not someone who you would say was one of the worst.

However his passing was very loose at times and he should have really got himself on the scoresheet in the second half.

Marcelo Bielsa needs to sort something out as soon as possible.

He does not have the luxury of a big squad so his options are limited as to what he can do as Leeds’ starting line-up at QPR was arguably their best.

It is clear what they need to do. They need to add to their squad and not just a striker to replace Eddie Nketiah. They need at least two or three faces just to freshen things up.

Over to you, Andrea and Victor.
