Sky Sports pundit predicts scoreline and result of Leeds United Premier League clash v Leicester City
Joleon Lescott has predicted Leeds United to continue with their bad run of form and suffer a 2-0 defeat against Leicester City.
Jesse Marsch’s men visit the King Power Stadium on Thursday night, having not won a game since the third week of August against Chelsea.
Leicester are also in the relegation zone and a win will go a long way towards saving manager Brendan Rodgers’ job.
“Jesse Marsch’s visitors match most sides in terms of energy but are a little bit short in front of goal at the moment.
“Leicester have slightly more quality in the final third and that will see them claim the points at the King Power Stadium.”
Leicester may have won more recently than Leeds but it was against the worst team in the league who are facing a relegation crisis themselves.
Leeds have played so well against Arsenal, who are title contenders and current table toppers, and Lescott is not even giving that a mention in his prediction.
It’s crazy how unnuanced he’s being with his prediction here and we think Leeds will be more than a handful for the struggling Foxes side.
In our view, they should be favourites for this game despite being the visitors and once Patrick Bamford gets his mojo back they will complete the sort of half chances we expect them to.
A loss here would not be catastrophic but it will heap the pressure on Marsch who’s already been part of one relegation battle last season.
The further his side are away from the drop zone, the better it will be for him as it’s nervy for the players and the fans and the aura around the stadium radically changes.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
