Sky Sports pundit predicts score for Leeds clash v Derby & Stoke v Brentford
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted that Leeds United will beat Derby County and confirm their promotion to the Premier League on Sunday.
Leeds need just one point from their last two matches to mathematically assure themselves a spot in the 2020/21 Premier League season.
If Brentford fail to beat Stoke on Saturday then Leeds will be promoted before they even play but Prutton backs to Bees to win the game at the Bet365 2-0 before adding that he predicts Marcelo Bielsa’s men to win 2-1 at Pride Park.
Speaking about the Brentford game on the Sky Sports website, Prutton said: “Brentford have won eight in a row, and you wouldn’t back against them making it nine and keeping the pressure right up on the top two. In fact, I won’t! Away win.”
If that does happen then Leeds know a point will do against Derby.
It would be the best possible way to get promotion done and dusted because we do not want it to happen when the players are sat at home away from each other.
We want to see them do it on the pitch and, best of all, on Derby’s pitch.
After all that has happened between Leeds and Derby in the last year and a half, to see Bielsa get one over on the Rams by winning promotion on their patch would be something us fans would remember for a long, long time.
Derby’s play-off hopes are basically over so they have nothing to play for other than to stop Leeds going up by winning at Pride Park.
A draw will do but we want to see promotion get confirmed in style with a nice 3-0 win.
