Sky Sports pundit predicts result of Leeds United Premier League clash v Liverpool

Joleon Lescott predicts Jesse Marsch’s misery to continue as he expects Liverpool to enjoy a routine win over Leeds United on Saturday.

The American is facing the sack at Elland Road should results not improve and it’s going to be a difficult one to turn things around at Anfield.

The Reds may not have started the season strongly but are still expected to dominate and get the win over a struggling Leeds side.

Lescott, a Sky Sports pundit, told Livescore, “Liverpool’s hopes of challenging for the title already seem to be dead and buried this season but things could yet get worse for the Reds.

“A couple more silly defeats would see them well adrift of the top four, which would be a really disastrous campaign — it’s not quite at that stage yet, though.

“I think the Reds should have too much for Jesse Marsch’s inconsistent Leeds side at home.

“Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Leeds.”

End of the road?

Marsch cannot continue as Leeds manager if he keeps getting results like this.

A drubbing against Liverpool could see him being sacked as it’s something that happened with Marcelo Bielsa.

The board cannot keep backing the American and it’s about time they accept that they’ve got it wrong and find someone else to replace him.

Victor Orta should ideally be looking at alternatives before planning for January as it makes no sense to scout Marsch’s targets.

A response is needed and the players should play like they actually care about the jersey and are buying into the manager’s tactics.

As of now, we’re seeing none of that and it is shambolic, to say the least.

We’re not sure how the away end is going to react to Marsch, especially if they go down by a goal or two but we can expect the worst.
